The boat used was a West White Potter. We used two
of them for the various rigs that were necessary.

| The concept sketch for this French cookie commercial using scanned elements, photoshop and painter. The idea involves a whale swallowing a family and their boat, subsequently releasing all of them except for the cookies they were eating. | ||

| Clearly there wasn't a trained whale up to the task, so the whole whale was put into the spot in post production. The many elements of the boat were done on the large tank at Universal Studios, including some green screen work at the same location for lighting consistency. (left) We built a large, full size frame of the basic whale shape for reference in post.(above) The whale's spout holding the boat aloft was shot as a separate element using special FX pumps.(right) Also in this picture can be seen the many orange markers in the water and on the backing for reference in post production. | ||
