Henry Spivey, an efficiency expert, lives a typical suburban life, right down to the wife, two kids, dog, and minivan. In contrast, Edward Albright is a lethal, multilingual operative. It would seem the two men have nothing in common -- except for the fact that they inhabit the same body. When each personality finds himself out of his element, things go awry.

| Creating the two worlds that the "two" characters inhabit proved to be quite difficult. Henry's world of his regular work and domestic life couldn't seem too uninteresting in contrast to the more glamorous World of Edward the assasin/operative, even though we needed to create these differences for the clarity of the show. So Henry's workplace became a high-tech cubicle environment as opposed to it being the more drab kind we might expect in a corporate space. The use of glass on many angles afforded us the opportunity of reflecting Henry as a constant reminder of his dual personalities, and to some extent flipping the convention so that the expected "Bond" style underground HQ was evident in the "regualr" work place. The secret underground HQ on the other hand was also flipped as a convention so that it would feel more like an old English manor as oposed to the High tech environment that is normally associated with this world. The underground world of Janus (of which A.J. Sun upstairs is its annogram) could not have any windows, which drove a lot of the design to incorporate practical lighting, which would not only work for the story but would also facilitate shooting without being incumbered by additional lighting units. | ||
